Geneva Forum on Social Change

An unique combination of cutting edge documentary films, workshops, panels and featured speakers, the Geneva Forum on Social Change will explore the convergence of themes presented in the films with applications for public policy and public affairs. Films representing nine countries profile the pressing global issues of gender equity, poverty, trade, security, environment and development. The Forum aims to:

• Provide a platform for a unique discussion of the complex social, political and economic challenges presented by some of today’s leading documentary films.
   
• Build capacity and awareness of the strategic use of film as a tool in public policy and public affairs.
   
• Promote cross-cultural dialogue on issues related to security and stability, sustainable development and social responsibility.
   
• Engage future leaders and encourage interchange, dialogue and action.

The Forum will provide an excellent opportunity for professionals working with international and non-governmental organizations, members of the diplomatic corps, researchers, military service and governmental members, educators, students and their families. Cross-sector dialogue, collaborative partnerships and coordinated mission efforts are among the anticipated outcomes of this inaugural Geneva Forum.
